Who We Are

OUR PEOPLE

We are a church who formed a charity to buy the old Apollo Cinema. We want to restore it into a centre which will be vibrant, diverse, and life-giving.

CULTURE

OUR CORE VALUES

These 12 core values are at the core of who we are.

VALUING THE PRESENCE OF GOD

Hosting the presence of God and growing in intimacy, through ongoing everyday encounters with Him.

God is good ALL the time!

A foundation built on the truth of God’s goodness will affect every area of our lives. Taste and see that the lord is good! (Psalm 34:8)

Faith is Spelt R.I.S.K

Allowing space for God to show up! Stepping outside our comfort zone and taking a risk because we have a big god. “Faith moves Heaven, so that Heaven moves earth”.

God's word is powerful

A greater revelation of His word leads us into a deeper relationship with Him which sets us free and transforms our lives.

Family is God's design

Creating a culture that is based on family relationships: our significance as sons and daughters and raising up fathers and mothers who will father the next generation.

Honour releases life

The desire and the ability to recognise “glory” in one another. Valuing others according to the value that Jesus has given us releases life.

Releasing the supernatural

We were born to be supernatural. Living from heaven to earth; from an unseen reality through a life of faith and intimacy.

Lives infused with joy and hope

In His presence there is fullness of joy. The God of hope fills us with a joy and peace so that we may overflow with hope (Romans 15:13)

God's grace empowers us

God’s empowering presence in and through us, the finished work of the cross means we are no longer sinners; we’re in the palace now!

Prophecy calls OUT greatness

Building an atmosphere of encouragement. Prophetic words build up, encourage, and comfort one another (1 Corinthians 14:3).

Generosity releases God's abundance

God is extremely generous and lavishes good things on His children (Matthew 7:11). A heart of generosity reflects God’s heart and releases blessings.

Re-presenting Jesus to the world

Demonstrating God’s love and power to those around us. We are called to spread the gospel of the kingdom and lead others into an encounter with God.

OUR STORY

As a result of a dramatic call in Brazil, while on a mission trip with Randy Clark, Alastair and Janet were sent out by St James Church, Clitheroe in September 2012, to plant a new church in Blackburn , “Re:Ignite”. The vision was to have a church in revival that would restore hope to the town and the church, partly by buying and transforming the old Apollo Cinema as a place for the town. The charity formed in March 2013 and the building became ours in September 2015. After a temporary refurbishment of the lower ground floor, we started meeting in the building in May 2016.
